Starting a business requires a special kind of guts. I mean, we are considered crazy and delusional. Yet much points to entrepreneurship as rising out of the ashes of massive layoffs. States and cities report sharp increase in the number of new business. It’s the quite emergence of a class of people ascribed to free enterprise and the new capitalism. This is the age of small or micro businesses that will impact our economy for some time. Many entrepreneurs languished in large organizations, unwilling to risk the wonderful benefits and perks. I am one who found I was suddenly removed from my well paying management level position. It was the opportunity for me to to forge my way. I no longer wish to be vulnerable to an organization’s financial status. I strongly believe that entrepreneurship is a powerful weapon for creating wealth for individuals. Entrepreneurs are a unique blend of bravado and risk taking but we are not crazy. We know the path on which we tread and do so without regret. Yes, many begin this journey and then retreat for legitimate reasons. However, the latent entrepreneurial bug remains and will emerge again.
